She has walked the Charleston streets, sampled as much low-country cuisine as one woman can, and stayed in many bed and breakfast inns and small hotels. Sara has been a newspaper reporter and columnist and written more than a dozen books about travel and food. Byrd has appeared on the Travel Channel, CNN, Good Morning America, and the TODAY Show as a travel and yachting consultant.
