Carl Payne Tobey was one of America's great 20th century astrologers who was part of the New York City group of astrologers that created 20th century modern astrology, like Grant Lewi, Charles Jayne, Wynn and Dane Rudhyar. They all worked together. Tobey was known for his statistical research of astrological principles and finding the mathematical basis of astrology's design. This book is Tobey's private astrology lessons that he created in 1955. Tobey considered Naomi C Bennett to be one of his best students and she worked with him side by side for three years and helped edit his last book, Astrology of Inner Space. This lead to her twenty year research to confirm Tobey's discoveries in her book, Foundations of Astrology. Since his death in 1980, most of his work has been unavailable to the public. With this book his research is again accessible to astrologers in the 21st century.

Carl Payne Tobey (1902-1980) was a nationally known American 20th century modern astrologer and Naomi C Bennett was mentored by him and is currently a international speaker on astrology, author of Foundations of Astrology, and President of the Astrological Society of Austin, Texas.
